History

Wilson Home Restoration was originally started by Josh Wilson in 2004. With more than 10 years experience in the home restoration industry Josh wanted to start a company that combined quality workmanship with great customer experience. His experience has produced a company that provides customers with top of the line workmanship and an easy process for homeowners.

Over the years we have expanded our company to specialize in insurance claims, including hail damage, fire restoration and water restoration.

We were victims of the March 2017 Oak Grove tornado. One call to Wilson Home Restoration and Josh, J.D. and crew jumped in and took care of the immediate needs, tree limb removal from house, covered roof on house and shop and attended to safety issues. By spring of 2018 all had been repaired including four out-buildings and a quarter mile of fencing. Josh also replaced our tore up deck with a beautiful new sun room. Wilson handled the insurance claim and all the paper work. There is no finer company to deal with than Wilson Home Restoration.

Leadership and craftsmanship are benchmarks for WHR

When our home of 45 years was demolished in Joplin's horrible F-5 tornado of 2011, we were consequently relocated to the south KC metro area and have lived here since. Hoping we were through with weather disasters forever, we learned life sometimes has other things in store! In our 90s now, the last thing we thought we would be doing in the cold January weather of 2018 is relocating again, albeit for only a short time due to having a water pipe freeze, break and flood our home. We cannot possibly explain what it is like at our ages to go through stressful times such as this incident presented. Working with Wilson Home Restoration allowed us to relax and understand that we were working with the BEST. Their friendly reassurance that all would be taken care of in a timely manner was very much appreciated. Communication with them was EXCELLENT! Never did we feel ignored or bothersome. In fact, much of the communication was prompted by WHR, just as part of the ongoing efficient work they provide. Attention to detail is their strong suit. We were soon quite comfortably back in our home and are still enjoying all the nice compliments we receive regarding the work Wilson Home Restoration did for us. Wilson Home Restoration made it all come together seamlessly

We were referred to Wilson Home Restoration through our insurance company, USAA. We had damage to our chimney and some of the roof which was all corrected very well and quickly. The project manager was very thorough in explaining what caused the initial problem and what was necessary to fix it properly. Appreciated his one-on-one contact with us since there were other subcontractors involved in the process but Wilson Home Restoration made it all come together seamlessly. We'll definitely call them again if/when another project is needed for our home.

Wilson Restoration added an all seasons sun room to our house. Then redid our master bathroom, fireplace tile, hardwood floors, carpet in bedrooms, and painted everything on the first floor. The workers were diligent and friendly, the build was broken into phases that were laid out in advance and were expected. The time management was an issue but expected as schedule on builds are subject to varying changes not in our control. On balance, we would highly recommend Wilson Home Restoration. We get so many compliments on our place and we love entertaining so much in our new space.

Repair or Partially Replace Wood or Fiber-Cement Siding

Josh was very good to work with and knew the urgency of our project. They had to remove the rotted wood siding, repair damage, reinstall insulation ,new siding and paint. They got right in and finished the job before the bad weather!!!! Chuck was also great to communicate with regarding timing and product.
